These Terms of Use govern access to Application Storyline. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy, and any product-specific usage rules shown in the app.

Eligibility and account responsibility
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for activity under your account. If a parent, advisor, or other adult helps a student use the service, that person is responsible for ensuring they have permission to do so and for supervising the student's use where required.
Educational writing support only
Application Storyline provides tools for reflection, organization, drafting, revision, and application-writing strategy. We do not provide legal, educational, admissions, immigration, financial, or psychological advice, and we do not guarantee admission, scholarship, school placement, grades, or any other outcome.
Your final submissions are your responsibility
You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, fact-checking, and deciding whether to submit any content. You agree not to submit false, misleading, plagiarized, or institutionally prohibited material. The service may produce suggestions or drafts, but those outputs are working material, not a guarantee of accuracy, originality, suitability, or compliance with any school policy.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse the service, attempt to bypass usage limits, reverse engineer the product, scrape or resell content, interfere with security, upload unlawful or harmful material, impersonate another person, or use the service to create dishonest applications. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe use is abusive, unsafe, fraudulent, unlawful, or harmful to the service or other users.
Product changes and availability
We may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue features, models, examples, libraries, system work allowances, pricing, and availability at any time. We may also correct errors, remove content, or update workflows as the product evolves.
System work allowance and fair use
Paid plans may include system-assisted work such as imports, storyline generation, draft planning, polishing, checks, and coaching responses. These features may be subject to daily allowances, rate limits, fair-use rules, technical limits, and temporary pauses. Manual editing and export features may remain available even when assisted work is limited.
Payments, access, and refunds
Paid passes are one-time purchases unless the pricing page clearly states otherwise. Access, included features, refund windows, and any limitations are shown at purchase or in the product. Taxes, currency conversion, payment processing, and card information are handled by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. We may grant, revoke, or adjust access when required for fraud prevention, operational reasons, refunds, chargebacks, or administrative corrections.
Content and intellectual property
You keep your rights in the original writing material you provide. We and our licensors retain all rights in the platform, software, design, examples, templates, prompts, systems, workflows, branding, and underlying technology. You receive a limited, non-transferable right to use the service for your own application-writing process.
Privacy and data
Use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You should not upload information you are not allowed to share. We may process user-provided material and usage data to operate, secure, improve, and support the service.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost opportunities, admissions decisions, or institutional outcomes. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or $100 if no amount was paid.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after updates means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, you should stop using the service.
