Trust, safety, and the line we will not cross.
Application Storyline is built for honest application writing. It can coach, organize, question, and help with revision. It cannot replace the student.
Product boundaries
No ghostwriting
The coach should not produce sentences for a student to submit. It asks questions, flags weak logic, and helps the student find sharper material.
Student-owned material
Stories, values, memories, and drafts are organized around the student’s Story Bank. The point is to preserve their voice, not flatten it.
No admissions promises
Application Storyline can improve process and clarity. It does not guarantee admission, scholarship outcomes, or institutional decisions.
Private by default
Discovery work is treated as personal. Students choose what to save, edit, delete, export, or share outside the app.
How AI is used
- Ask Socratic questions about the student’s own material.
- Point out vague claims, missing scenes, or weak prompt fit.
- Help the student build a revision checklist.
- Avoid writing polished paragraphs intended for submission.
What families should expect
A good outcome is not a perfect first draft. It is a stronger Story Bank, a clearer essay direction, visible revision history, and a student who can explain why the essay is theirs.
