Trust, safety, and the line we will not cross.
Application Storyline is built for honest application writing. It can coach, organize, question, and create working drafts from student-owned material. It cannot replace the student’s lived experience.
Product boundaries
No invented life
The coach may create draft options from the student’s own material. It should not invent facts, achievements, trauma, school research, or a voice that does not belong to the student.
Student-owned material
Stories, values, memories, and drafts are organized around the student’s Stories. The point is to preserve their voice, not flatten it.
No admissions promises
Application Storyline can improve process and clarity. It does not guarantee admission, scholarship outcomes, or institutional decisions.
Private by default
Discovery work is treated as personal. Students choose what to save, edit, delete, export, or share outside the app.
How guided support is used
- Ask Socratic questions about the student’s own material.
- Point out vague claims, missing scenes, or weak prompt fit.
- Help the student build a revision checklist.
- Avoid writing polished paragraphs intended for submission.
What families should expect
A good outcome is not a perfect first draft. It is a stronger Stories, a clearer essay direction, visible revision history, and a student who can explain why the essay is theirs.
